Punjab BJP president pays obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib

Amritsar, July 6 – Newly appointed BJP Punjab president Sunil Jakhar with other party leaders pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib  here today.

After paying obeisance, he addressed the media for a while, said, “My purpose is to visit here to thank the Waheguru (Almighty) and to have blessings as whatever today I have due to the grace of God. I prayed before the Almighty for His grace and sought strength to take up the Punjab issues courageously.  I pray here for the brotherhood in all the Punjabis and the wellbeing of Punjab. I sought courage to work tirelessly  for the overall development of Punjab  without any prejudice.

On being asked about the political alliance between SAD ( Badal) and BJP, he said that he was standing on Guru Ghar ( Religious and pious place ) and would never prefer to speak on politics since the people who indulged religious places in politics were diminished.

 “I would certainly talk about all the political issues but not at religious place Sri Harmandir Sahib ( Golden Temple) as would hold separate press conference where I will reply each query of media”, he quipped

 Thereafter he paid obeisance at Hindu Durgiana Temple and later in the afternoon he was scheduled to pay obeisance at Bhagwan Shri Balmik Ram Tirath temple.
