JIH condemns communal violence in Haryana

New Delhi: Jamaat e Islami Hind expresses grave concern over the situation unfolding in Haryana. In a statement to the media, the Vice President of Jamaat e Islami Hind, Prof Salim Engineer said, ” The reported attack on places of worship is alarming and should be immediately brought under control. This was in the context of Haryana where the Vishwa Hindu Parishad procession was taken out and the procession led to Violence in Sohna and Nuh. In these unfortunate incidents 5 people have lost their lives including two home guards.
He said that,” We condemn the violence instigated by rioters and anti-social elements and the open arms distribution carried out along with religious procession to provoke, instigate and perpetuate violence  is  predatory and suicidal”. These incidents are carried out to stoke communal tensions and reap Political benefits by sowing the seeds of Polarization.

Prof Salim further demanded compensation for Maulana Saad, who was providing his services at Sector 57 mosque, who was murdered along with others and those injured. And demanded immediate probe in this matter, and action against the Police officials who failed to provide security despite prior intel. He also unequivocally condemns the partisan arrest of random Muslim youth instead of sincere attempts to nab the real perpetrators.
