An Indian shot dead at Indo-Pak border

Amritsar: An Iunidentified man was shot dead by the Border Security Force ,in the morning of August 3 around 4.a.m.

According to a BSF official a man who was found near the barbed fencing at village Bhikiwind – Khalra area falling in the Tarn Taran district was killed as he was aggressively marching towards the BSF troops inspite of repeated warning given to him but he was not willing to surrender.

The BSF officer further informed that when he reached near to the BSF troops and kept marching continued in an aggressive posture, forcing BSF troops to fire gun shot in self-defense.

BSF clarified that the man who was shot dead at Indo-Pak border was found uncircumcised as he may not be Muslim. He also clarified that yet also not clear that the dead was whether Indian or Pakistani as investigation was underway.

Talking about the appearance of the dead man Officer further said that he was having long unkempt hair and seemed insane.  

On being contacted to Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Preetinder Singh said that the dead man was Indian but still unidentified, managed to reach near the barbed fencing in the BSF area and during fire opened by BSF he was killed.
