509 schools in Haryana to be named after the martyrs says Dushyant Chautala

On this Independence Day, state government has taken decision as a tribute to the martyrs as many as 509 government schools in Haryana  state will be named after the martyrs. This initiative to rename government schools in the state has been taken by  Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala when a year ago he had taken a similar decision in Dhandheri village of Hisar district. He said, starting from August 15, the names of 509 government schools in the state will be changed to honor the Haryana’s valiant soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of the country. Chautala said that this change will be reflected in all records and on the official website of the State’s Education Department from the midnight of August 14.

On August 15 last year, Dushyant Chautala visited the home of martyr Nishant Malik from Dhandheri village in Hansi region, who had sacrificed his life in Jammu and Kashmir sector while fighting terrorists and on the same day, the name of the village government school was changed in the name of the martyr. Following this, on various occasions Deputy Chief Minister Chautala as well as the state government announced the renaming of schools after martyrs’ names in few other villages. Now, the decision has been taken that 358 high or senior secondary schools and 151 middle or primary schools in the state will carry the names of the brave soldiers who made sacrifices for the nation.

Information reveals that initially carrying martyrs name the schools to have change in the names with immediate effect include district Charkhi Dadri having 28 schools, Jhajjar having  28 schools, Gurugram having 25 schools, Kaithal having 21 schools, Mahendragarh having 16 schools, Hisar having 13 schools, and Fatehabad district with 10 schools. Similarly, eight schools each in Ambala, Faridabad, Kurukshetra and Sonipat districts would be renamed at initial statge apart from 94 schools from Rewari, 85 schools from Bhiwani, 61 schools from Jind. 38 schools each from Palwal and  Rohtak, 36 schools from Yamunanagar, 5 schools each from Panchkula and Panipat, 4 schools from Karnal and 1 schools from Nuh district will be renamed with immediate effect.

Dushyant Chautala emphasized that the sacrifice of martyrs and the contribution of their families cannot be forgotten and the nation can never repay their debt. Renaming the government schools after the names of these martyrs aims to honor their memory forever.
