Two multi-model logistics park to be developed in Haryana to enhance infrastructure

In order to enhance the logistics infrastructure, the Haryana government is in the process of developing two multi-model logistic parks (MMLPs) initially in Hisar and in Ambala districts to set up multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs) on public-private partnership (PPP) model under the national corridors’ efficiency improvement under PM-Kusum Yozna scheme .”This initiative will significantly enhance the logistics capabilities of the state, driving economic growth and attracting investments. The government aims to establish a robust infrastructure network to support the logistics industry,” said Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal who conducted a meeting of all officials related to the project. He directed all concerned officials to complete all formalities within 15 days enabling to finalize MOUs in this regard.

Sanjiv Kaushal said that the primary objective of MMLPs is to facilitate seamless intermodal freight movement by integrating various modes of transportation including on highways. Rashtriya Rajmarg Rasad  Prabandhan Limited (NHLML) Chief Executive Officer  Parkash Gaud said that as many as 35 multi-model logistic parks are being developed in the country which include two in Haryana at Hisar and Ambala which will serve as hubs for freight aggregation and distribution, enabling efficient movement of goods across the country. Chief Secretary Haryana Kaushal said that the MMLPs will offer state-of-the-art storage and warehousing solutions, along with value-added services such as custom clearances and IT services, to cater to the diverse needs of logistics stakeholders and reduce logistics cost. He said there is a proposal to set up another multi-modal logistics parks In NCR or at Palwal in due course of time.

Sanjiv Kaushal said, the Haryana state government is in the process of identifying suitable land of area between 100 to 150 acre, which should be close to railway line, National highways, DFC and close to industrial areas which would save expenses for transportation of goods, help in strengthening economic condition and help in increasing sources of employment and bring relief from pollution.
