Fake Desi Ghee manufacturing factory raided, owner arrested

Team of food security department Haryana accompanied by CIA Staff of Jind police raided a Desi Ghee manufacturing factory running in a residential building at village Deshkheda in Jind district and seized 456 liter fake ghee being packed in reputed brands of the country including Amul, Patanjali, Milk Food, Madhusudan and Vita. The owner of the factory Amit was arrested by the police and a case was registered against him.

The raiding team seized all containers, packing material in the name of all brands, three drums of fake ghee manufactured with Vanaspati and refined oil, three packing machines, LPG cylinder, 10 rubber stamps and few chemicals used in preparing ghee. Dr Joginder Singh Food Security Officer said that four samples of each brand of ghee were collected for sending to the forensic laboratory Karnal  for test report.

Amit told that he used to get manufactured wrappers of different brands of ghee from Delhi, manufacturing ghee by mixing refined oil, vanaspati, chemicals and essence for the flavour, packed in 1 kg containers and 15 kg tins usually supplying entire production in adjoining districts Jind, Rohtak, Charkhi Dadri and few other markets.
