Gold worth Rs. 1.52 crore seized at Indo-Pak Attari border

Amritsar : Indian Customs department have seized Gold having worth of Rs. 1.52 crore at Indo-Pak Attari border.

In a official statement, Customs said that officers of Amritsar Customs at ICP Attari intercepted various passengers coming from Pakistan on foot through Indo-Pak Border and recovered 2552.39 grams (2.55 kgs approximately) of 24 Carat gold valued at Rs.1.52 crores in six different cases. The gold was worn by the various passengers in raw form in Rings, broken Kada and  Chain. The gold was seized as per provisions of Customs Act, 1962.

Further proceedings are underway, said the official.
