Education Conclave: A Roadmap to Transforming Maharashtra’s Education & Bridging the Gap between Policy and Reality

Pune:The Lexicon Group of Institutes, in collaboration with Pune Times Mirror and Civic Mirror, successfully hosted “The Education Conclave: A Roadmap to Transforming Maharashtra’s Education” at The Lexicon campus in Wagholi. This notable event aimed to bridge the gap between education policy formulation and the realities faced by educators, schools, and students.

“Education is the compass guiding students towards a brighter future. It is our solemn duty to dismantle barriers and ensure equitable access to quality learning. Through innovative strategies and collaboration, we shall bridge the gap between policy and reality, forging a path where every child’s growth is nurtured and empowered” – said  Pankaj Sharma, President, The Lexicon Group of Institutes, Chairman & MD, Pune Times Mirror, Civic Mirror & MultiFit.

The conclave was honored by the presence of  Deepak Kesarkar, Hon’ble Minister, School Education, Marathi Bhasha Maharashtra State, whose presence underscored the government’s keen interest in listening to and understanding the suggestions and concerns of educationalists in Pune. He actively engaged with them and promised to take positive action.

Shri. Deepak Kesarkar highlighted the paramount importance of providing quality education to children, emphasizing that it is the state government’s statutory duty. He assured attendees that the government is committed to resolving the issues faced by aided, private and government schools. He also addressed concerns regarding the implementation of the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP) and pledged to work towards their resolution.

“We have an MoU with Hindustan Computers Ltd. They will impart valuable knowledge, and our students will have the opportunity to work at their facilities and become part of their workforce. Hindustan Computers Ltd. has committed to hiring 10,000 students through this collaboration. Additionally, we have forged a partnership with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, which will absorb 15,000 of our students.

Furthermore, we are in the process of establishing a strategic tie-up with the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany to offer skill development training to our students.” –said Shri. Deepak Kesarkar.

The conclave served as a dynamic platform for exploring innovative teaching methods designed to enhance engagement and the effectiveness of learning. Kesarkar actively engaged with students, addressing their queries and dispelling doubts. He emphasized the importance of physical education and 360 degree growth, stating, “I believe that it is no longer essential to rely solely on online sources. Instead, I encourage students to place their trust in their teachers; there is no substitute for in person education.” He emphasized the importance of education in the overall development of society and how it plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the world.
