Ambala : CIA staff Ambala policer arrested 2 top 10 category criminals of Bihar looted gold of value worth crores. They attempted a robbery that took place on 4th August in the branch of Manappuram Gold Loan Finance in Amba Cantonment. CIA has arrested both criminals included in the top-10 most wanted of Bihar who had also earlier committed crimes like murder. Both the miscreants are main members of Subodh Singh gang of Bihar. The accused are associated with an inter-state gang which has committed crimes at many places in Haryana.
Addressing media persons Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala said that the CIA-1 team, acting under the leadership of Inspector Harjinder Singh arrested both the criminals near the flyover located on Ambala GT Road. CIA also recovered an illegal pistol, two magazines and 7 live cartridges from the possession of the accused.
The accused were identified as Rohit and Anu, residents of village Bharpura, district Saran of Bihar. Police have also recovered a Swift vehicle car with Bihar number from the possession of the miscreants bearing registration number BR 01HG-4969, found from the accused during the search which was impounded along with weapons.
SP Randhawa said that many cases were already registered against the accused Rohit wanted in two cases. The miscreants had committed the robbery on August 29 in West Bengal in which they had looted 4.5 kg gold. Along with this, a case of attempt to murder is registered against him at Patna in Bihar in the year 2021.
Randhawa said that accused Rohit and Anu are active members of Subodh Singh gang who mostly used to carry out incidents of gold robbery. He also had a hand in the Ambala Market incident at Ambala Cantonment. The accused Anu had committed the incident of pickup robbery by shooting in the year 2019. In the same year a case was also registered against the accused for carrying out the incident of snatching a mobile phone. Apart from this, two other cases have been registered against the accused under robbery and Arms Act.
The SP said that the accused had wanted to commit robbery in Yamunanagar also. Not only this, miscreants had also robbed gold worth Rs 15-20 crore from a jewelery showroom in Dehradun the capital of Uttarakhand in just 10 minutes. SP said that in this case the police are also searching for other members of this gang who will be arrested soon.
