Several to be arrested in Haryana Roadways E-ticketing scam

Haryana : E-ticketing scam worth lskh of rupees exposed in Bhiwani , Karnal and Ambala depots of Haryana roadways in the state. Three operators were suspended in ticketing scam of value Rs 3,31,400 in Bhiwani depot of roadways only in which three operators have been suspended, whereas fraud of value worth Rs 86000 has been detected at Karnal depot and as many as 17 roadways bus conductors and two booking clerks were charge sheeted allegedly not deposited the amount collected by e- booking in which a bus conductor Suresh Kumar failed to deposit maximum amount Rs 24,000. Similarly, seven bus conductors were chargesheeted and allegedly not deposited the amount colledted through e-booking in Ambala depot. According to rules, the bus conductors have to deposit the amount collected by r-booking  oon after finishing their duty but directions were violated by them.

According to the General Manager Ambala Roadways the accused bus conductors used the amount collected through e-booking personally instead of depositing soon after finishing their duties and during interrogation failed to provide a satisfactory reply.for which they are liable to be suspended or register FIRs against them.  According to information, If the Roadways Administration officials investigate properly more than 24 employees may be punished. The needle of suspicion is also circling on the employees of the ticket booking branch, because the branch is well aware of how many passenger receipts are being received on which route and which employee has not deposited the cash since then.

 After the scam was exposed in Ambala City, there was a stir in Bhiwani depot also over the e-ticketing scam. Roadways Bhiwani Depot has suspended three operators. The name of operator Umesh is included for not depositing Rs 2 lakh 13 thousand for the collection of e-ticketing. Similarly, investigation has proved embezzlement of e-ticketing amount of Rs 48,400 against conductor Ravindra have already been suspended. Similarly, another conductor Jogendra has also been booked for investigation in the e-ticketing case. He has been suspended for not depositing the e-ticketing amount of Rs 70 thousand. The Roadways Department Bhiwani has proved embezzlement of an amount of Rs 3,31,400. Now this amount will also soon be collected by the department from the suspended employees. According to departmental sources, more than 24 employees are suspected of misappropriating the amount of e-ticketing, whose investigation is still going on.
