Haryana INLD chief Nafe Singh Rathee murder case is being handed over to the CBI for investigation as desired by Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Home Minister Anil Vij and sprinkled bullets at his car while standing near the railway gate on the recommendation of Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor. Rathee was shot dead at Bahadurgarh by four persons in a car on 25th February and later police during investigation had recovered 21 used bullets from the site of incident. Police registered a case on February 26 under sections 147, 148, 149, 307, 302A, 120B of IPC and section 25/27-54-59 of Arms Act. The family of the deceased leader also expressed danger to their lives. There is yet a mystery why and by whose direction INLD leader was killed. In a joint operation by Jhajjar and Delhi Police Special Cell as well as Haryana STF two shooters Sachin alias Saurav (27) and Ashish (24) both residents of Nangloi in Delhi has already been arrested from a hotel in Goa and search by the police for the remaining two shooters is going on.
The INLD chief Nafe Singh Rathee was gunned down along with a party worker Jai Kishen sitting in the same car when assailants sprayed bullets on the vehicle. According to Dr Arpit Jain SP Jhajjar, arrested youths Saurav and Ashish were remanded to the police custody for eight days and the remaining two shooters Nakul alias Deepak and Atul alias Bachi also suspected involved in Ballu Pehalwan murder case at Faridabad on January 30 this year are still at large and police searching them. Dr Jain told media persons that Saurav and Ashish were chased by the police on the basis of a footage on CCTV camera at village Barahi near Bahadurgarh in which a killer sitting on the front seat was talking to someone on mobile phone, when police team started search for the killers and succeeded in arresting both from Continental Hotel in Goa, when both were trying to flee abroad. Information revealed that both Saurav and Ashish after the crime went to Ahmedabad in Gujarat in a train and from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and Goa in taxi.
The deceased leader’s nephew Kapoor Singh Rathee said that his uncle’s elder son Bhupinder and younger son Jatinder had received 18 threat calls from an unknown number. Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij had on Monday said the probe into the killing of the INLD’s state unit chief will be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Meanwhile, UK-based wanted gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu on social media has claimed responsibility for the killing of Rathee. Information also reveals that Sachin studied up to class IX have two robbery cases registered against him at Delhi and one case registered against him under Arms Act at Sonipat, whereas, Ashish also studied up to class VIII have one case registered against him at Delhi.
