Amritsar, April 6 – Different Kissan unions (farmers outfit) here today showed black flags to BJP lok Sabha candidate Tarunjit Singh Sandhu here today during his election campaign in the Gagomahal village falling in the Ajnala sector.
Kissan Sangarsh Committee and two others farmers outfit carried out a protest, raising anti BJP slogans saying that none of the BJP candidates in Punjab would be allowed to carry out his election campaign in rural Punjab.
Kissan leader Gurdev Singh Gago Mahal said that during the 13 months long protest, Modi Government made certain promises to farmers but none of them fulfilled and here famers felt stab on their back by BJP. Even justice to Shubdeep Singh who was killed by the Haryana police was still awaited.
During protest it was tough time for the security guards of Sandhu to provide a safe exit route to him as famers were agitating vehemently and using objectionable language for the BJP. Finally the police managed to bring Sandhu to a safer place.
During the campaign BJP leader Amarpal Singh Bony was accompanying Sandhu. It may be mentioned here that Amarpal Singh Bony, a former MLA who was earlier in the SAD (Badal) had left the party and joined BJP having several grudges with the SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal.
