BAGGGEL FOUNDATION: Bengaluru-based Not-for-Profit Hosts Inaugural Conference on Women ‘Being CEO Ready’

Bengaluru : BAGGGEL FOUNDATION, a Bengaluru-headquartered non-profit organization with a focus on empowering women, hosted a groundbreaking conference titled “Women CEO Ready.” This event marked the first of its kind in Bengaluru and drew participation from 130 senior women leaders across various industries. Among them were a select few women CEOs who shared insights on the challenges women face in reaching top executive positions.

During her address at the conference, Supria Dhanda, the Founder of BAGGGEL FOUNDATION, expressed the conference’s aim to inspire women to aspire for leadership roles in corporate settings. She noted that although women often excel in enabling functions, they are less likely to actively pursue CEO positions when presented with the opportunity.

Following her remarks, Supria Dhanda revealed that BAGGGEL Foundation plans to host an Annual Conference, with an anticipated attendance of 100-150 Women CEOs and Board Members from leading companies. Additionally, Dhanda mentioned three ongoing programs by BAGGGEL: “BEING CEO READY,” a six-month program, “THE LEADERS NETWORK,” an annual membership-based networking event, and the “BEING CEO READY” Conference.

As part of the The Leaders Network, one has to take up membership and they receive 4-part benefits – namely Master Classes, Mentoring, Sponsoring networking and have opportunity to work with NGOs in pay forward manner.

As part of Being CEO Ready 6 month Program, critical element would be to partner with NGOs and mentor them, help NGO’s create a brand, get them market ready, and essentially use these experiences in the NGO to prepare self in taking up higher positions in the corporate world and also grow by giving and paying forward. 

Supria also announced that within the next 18 months, BAGGGEL FOUNDATION aims to become CSR compliant. Being a not-for-profit entity, funding occurs through self-funding and sponsorship, such as the support received from ABS India for this event. Additionally, members contribute donations to cover operational expenses for The Leaders Network. The foundation remains steadfast in its mission to achieve gender balance at the top by nurturing more women CEOs.
