Former CM Channi pays obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib

Amritsar,  April 15 – Former chief Minister Punjab Charnjit Singh Channi paid obeisance in the Sanctum Sanctorum of the Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) here today.

On this occasion, talking to the media, Channi said that Party high command has asked him to contest parliamentary elections from the Jallandhar parliament constituency.

Channi said that he felt honored after getting a ticket from the Jallandhar parliament constituency as Congress High Command posed trust on him.

He said that today he was here at Golden Temple to have the blessings of the Almighty to get inner strength from Almighty  so that he could win the seat with heavy margin during elections so that could come out as per the expectations of the party high command as well as the voters of Jallandhar parliament constituency. My motive would remain after winning elections from Jallandhar to serve the people with the core of my heart and do the best possible for the development of the area.

On this occasion he was accompanied by the Jallandhar MLA Pargat Singh and other party activists.

He said that earlier he served the Chamkor Sahib constituency where he brought unprecedented development as a developed wonder corridor as developed in Amritsar around the Golden Temple. He said that he loved the development since these things were in his genes.

Taking jibe at AAP chief minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Channi lashed at him and said that before elections the face of Mann was different and now altogether changed as he was allegedly hatching a conspiracy with the Centr Government against the agitating farmers of Punjab. He blamed the AAP Government for willfully slapping National Security Act (NSA) on certain youth to put them behind the bars. He said that time has come for the people of Punjab to teach lessons to AAP as what they did with the people of Punjab.
