6 out of 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana to have tough competition between BJP and Congress

Seven out of 10 Lok Sabha seats have been announced by Congress so far in Haryana state: Ambala, Sonipat, Rohtak, Faridabad, Bhiwani, Hisar and Sirsa  are likely to have tough competition between the candidates of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the state this times. Congress has yet to announce the names of candidates to contest polls in the remaining two Lok Sabha constituencies so far. Congress havsto announce the name of the for important Gurugram seat to contest against BJP’s heavyweight candidate Rao Inderjit. There was a proposal by a group of senior Congress leaders to contest Bollywood star Raj Babbar from this seat, whereas at the same time a former minister in Haryana state Capt. Ajay Yadav has expressed keen desire to contest from this seat on behalf of Congress and the final decision have yet to be taken by Congress high command.


Past scenario reveals that during 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP was able to win all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana in which NDA was able to get 38.4% and UPA 28.5% votes. During 2019 Lok Sabha polls  BJP was able to  get 58.2%, Congress 28.5%, JJP 4.9%, BSP 3.6%, INLD 1.9% and others 2.9% votes in Haryana state. Information reveals that during present Lok sabha polls Congress is going to contest all heavyweight party leaders to face BJP contestants on all seats, except Karnal seat where the new face of a youth Congress leader Divyanshu Budhiraja is going to contest against the former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. According to information, BJP contestants will fight present Lok Sabha polls  in Haryana claiming ‘ Modi Ki Guarantee’ and the developments in the state by Manohar Lal Khattar government. Whereas, Congress claims to fight these Lok sabha polls  on the basis of caste and community policy, as such has offered similar tickets to the communities belonging to Punjabi, Dalit, OBC, Aheer, Brahmin and Jaat.

Present scenario also reveals that there will be a tough contest between  Rajya Sabha member Deepender Singh Hooda of Congress and Dr Arvind Sharma of BJP, the winner of Lok Sabha polls three times in the past also at Rohtak. Similarly, Bhiwani Lok Sabha seat is likely to have a tough triangular contest between Congress candidate Rao Daan Singh who was offered a ticket by the Congress high command, refusing the same to the former MP Shruti Choudhary grand daughter of Ch. Bansi Lal and INLD candidate Marathan Virender Verma of INLD. Similarly, there will be a tough contest between the Union Minister Kishanpal Gurjar of BJP and former revenue minister Mahinder Partap Singh of Congress at Faridabad and between Varun Mullana son of former HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana and Banto Kastaria wife of a former Union Minister Ratan Lal Kataria at Ambala.

Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency is going to have a tough triangular contest between industrialist Naveen Jindal who left Congress recently and joined BJP, Dr Sushil Gupta of AAP having support by the Congress and INLD Chief General Secretary Abhay Singh Chautala. Hisar Lok Sabha constituency too is going to have a tough poll battle among members of Om Parkash Chautala family between Naina Chautala, Sunaina Chautala and Ranjit Singh Chautala (former Haryana minister) to face Congress candidate a former Union Minister Jai Parkash of Congress.The Sirsa Lok Sabha seat is also going to witness a tough fight between two former Congress state presidents Kumari Shelja and Dr Ashok Tanwar recently joined BJP.
