Bengaluru: Défense PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has achieved a remarkable turnover of Rs. 19,819.93 crore for FY 2023-24, reflecting a 14.35% increase compared to the Rs. 17,333.37 crore recorded in the previous fiscal year, As per statement issued by BEL. In the 4th quarter of FY 2023-24, BEL’s turnover surged to Rs. 8,335.01 crore, up from Rs. 6,327.48 crore in the corresponding period of the prior year.
The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) for FY 2023-24 reached Rs. 5,334.56 crore, representing a significant growth of 33.87% over the PBT of Rs. 3,984.88 crore from the previous year. In the 4th quarter, PBT rose to Rs. 2,385.61 crore from Rs. 1,781.49 crore in the same period last year.
BEL also reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 4,020.00 crore for FY 2023-24, marking a 33.70% increase over the Rs. 3,006.67 crore recorded in the previous fiscal year. In the 4th quarter, PAT climbed to Rs. 1,783.52 crore from Rs. 1,365.36 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
As of April 1, 2024, the company’s order book stood robust at Rs. 75,934 crores. The Board of Directors, in their meeting today, recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.80 per equity share (with a face value of Rs. 1/- each), subject to approval by the shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
