Racket of 11 including 4 females selling ‘herbal pills’ to boost sexual power arrested

Gurugram: East Cyber police Gurugram raided a fake call centre in operating Sector 18 and arrested 11 persons, including four women for allegedly duping people on the pretext of selling online herbal medicine to boost sexual power. The accused used to post ads for such medicines on Google to target the victims. duped them on the pretext of selling herbal medicines that they claimed helping boost sexual power. They also used to cheat people in the name of GST charges, parking charges, and courier charges, and received money from the victims through UPI and QR codes.

DCP Cyber Crime cell Sidhant Jain told media persons that police formed a special team under the supervision of ACP Vipin Alahawa which raided the fake  call centre, where 11 persons were found making calls to the victims and were taken into custody. The callers confessed that they were working to sell sex-enhancing pills and receiving Rs 15,000 as salary per month with 5 per cent commission on the duped amount . Police recovered seven mobile phones, SIM cards, two CPUs, and other documents from the call centre. Among those arrested were identified as  Shyam Dubey resident of Muraina In M.P, Sdrsh resident of Vasant Vihar New Delhi,  Kusham resident of village  Khedla in Gurugram,  Piyush Chauhan resident of Badaun in U.P,  Vivek Chopra resident of NIT Faridabad,  Gulshan Kumar resident of Gopalganj in Bihar, Raj Kumar resident of Mehrauli in Delhi, Pooja Chauhan resident of Jaipur, Bhavna resident of Bhiwani, and Anamika resident of Gwaliot in M.P The accused were produced in a local court which sent them to police custody.
