Hisar : Entire auto market in the town remained closed in protest of firing outside an automobile dealership showroom in broad daylight on Monday demanding Rs 5 crore ransom from its owner Sanjay Gupta son of INLD leader Ram Bhagat Gupta running Mahindra showroom, Traders on Tuesday held a meeting here and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits within 72 hours, failing which entire auto market will remain closed on June 28. President of Haryana Pradesh Beopar Mandal Bajrang Garg strongly condemned the incident and police failure to find any clue even after 24 hours. He expressed deep concern over law and order in the state and the criminals had started demanding ransom from traders.
Meanwhile, Hisar City Police Station in-charge Risal Singh said a case has been registered under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), 387 (extortion), and under the provisions of the Arms Act in connection with the Monday incident. Bajrang Garg told reporters that the law and order situation had deteriorated in Haryana and businessmen and common people were living in fear. According to footage in the CCTV camera, two persons were leaving the showroom with their faces covered. According to police, the three arrived on a motorcycle, barged into the dealership, left a note with a ransom demand and fired shots in the air outside the showroom before leaving.
Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda while talking to media persons at Chandigarh said that law and order in the state has become bad to worst during past 10 years BJP rule in the state and cases of extortion of money and murders by the anti-social elements have become a routine and only those are safe to whom no one wants to kill. INLD Chief General Secretary Abhay Chautala said that the BJP government in Haryana has proved failure to save the lives of the people. He expressed deep concern over the killing of former INLD state president Nafe Singh shot dead and police have remained unsuccessful to arrest prime accused in the murder so far.
