Army opens fire on suspected infiltrators along LoC in J&K’s Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors

The Army opened fire upon detecting movements from suspected infiltrators along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors early Monday morning, officials reported.

In Akhnoor’s Battal sector, near Jammu, Army troops spotted suspicious movement by three to four individuals around 1:30 am. The area was illuminated with flares, put under drone surveillance, and reinforcements were mobilized to establish a tight cordon. A search operation commenced at dawn to prevent any potential infiltration across the border.
