Double murder mystery solved
Ambala: Two minor sisters found dead in their house at Valmiki Colony in Nahan House area at Ambala City identified as Yogita (11) and Amayra (7). The deceased’s elder brother Saurabh saw both lying unconscious on stairs informed his grandfather Ved Parkash who arrived immediately and took both to the hospital where doctors declared both dead. Yogita was strangled to death and blood seen oozing from her mouth. Sunil Dutt Inspector City Police station arrived along with Srishti Gupta ACP said the victims had struggled too much to save their lives and blood spots were seen on the nails clipping of Yogita, indicating that she had struggled a lot to save her.
The family suspects the role of a person, with whom victoms’ father Sonu had a monetary dispute suspecting the this crime to take revenge. Police sent nails clipping of elder sister Jyoti to the forensic laboratory for for investigation and reveal terruth about the accused. While talking to media persons ACP said, on the basis of investigations carried so far police is quite near to the accused likely to be arrested soon. Ved Parkash said that Sonu working in factory was addicted to drugs for the past few years and had hot discussion with Vikas visited accusing Sonu of stealing money. Sources said the police after holding preliminary also suspected the role of a near and dear within the family caused death of both minors. According to the post-mortem report, strangulation were the causes of death of both girls. Ambala SP Surinder Singh Bhoria said a case No. 271 Section 103 (01) Bils has been registered on 5th August on the basis of the complaint lodged by victims grandfather Ved Parkash.
However, during police interrogation, the mother of both children Jyoti admitted crime that she had strangled her both daughters with her ‘dupatta’. Jyoti was arrested and produced in the court on 6th August and she was remanded to police custody for two days. She blamed her husband Sonu often accusing her after the delivery of her fourth child often blaming that the younger victim Amarya was not her daughter when she took this step.
