Administrative reshuffle in Haryana: Congress accuses BJP govt for violating poll code

In a complaint to the principal secretary Election Commission, Congress alleged the state government issued a large number of transfer orders on August 16 evening after the announcement for election schedule in the state. The Haryana Congress accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of violating the model code of conduct by issuing transfer orders of 21 IAS, 12 IPS, 65 HCS and three HPS officers when the poll code came into effect.

In a complaint to principal secretary, Election Commission, party’s chairman of legal department, KC Bhatia said the state government issued these transfer orders on August 16 evening after the announcement for election schedule after the poll code came into effect, thus the orders are liable to be cancelled demanding effective steps and cancel all the transfer orders so that the sanctity of model code of conduct is maintained in the interest of justice and fair play.

Large number of media persons present at the occasion of the function organized by Punjabi Mahasabha led by its National President Ashok Mehta a former state information commissioner in which former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda was present when raised a question about selection of contestants in assembly polls in Congress divided in groups, Hooda said there is no group in the party and when the names of the contestant to fight coming assembly  polls will be released every Congress leader as well as worker will unite to push ruling BJP government out from the state. He said, it is natural, since everyone wants to contest and win polls when Congress wave is going on in Haryana. Hooda said, party’s high command has strictly decided to give tickets only to the winning candidates in present Vidhan Sabha polls in the state.
