Bhupinder Hooda should know that Punjabis were not displaced, they moved from India to India: Vij

It was because of the mindset of people like Hooda that Punjabis were hurt and they made their own countrymen refugees and should be prosecuted and punished for using word displaced says Anil Vij

Ambala : Former Home Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij hit back at opposition leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda and said that  “Bhupinder Singh Hooda should know that Punjabis were not displaced, they moved from India to India.” He said that Punjabis were hurt because of the mindset of people like Hooda, who made their own countrymen refugees. Advising Hooda, Vij said, he needs to change your mindset, even after 70 years, still calling these people displaced because he does not want to accept them, he added. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons regarding Hooda’s statement about establishing a Punjabi Displaced Welfare Board if his government came into power.

Expressing his anger towards Hooda, Vij raised a question: “You want to label those (Punjabis) whose generations were born on this land as second-class (do darze) citizens by calling them displaced.” He further stated that Hooda should be prosecuted and punished for using this term displaced.

On Hooda’s remarks about corruption and hooliganism in the BJP government, Vij retorted: “Hooda is absolutely right that the Congress ran the state on the track of corruption for 10 years, but we have derailed the state from that track.” He mentioned that during the Congress tenure, jobs were sold through bids and transfer markets flourished. “The railway line of corruption built by them (Congress) has been dismantled by us,” he said.
On a statement by Randeep Surjewala regarding defeating Vinesh Phogat, Vij questioned Surjewala, “Tell us, where has the BJP engaged in hooliganism? Where and when has a case been registered against a BJP leader? And if I start listing the cases registered against Congress leaders, it will take all the time.” He sarcastically remarked that “Goons are nurtured within Congress and Congress provides them protection. No goons are nurtured within the BJP, they are kicked out in a minute.” He added, “Goons exist in Congress, there are no goons in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
