Strict action will be taken as per rules against those who violate the Model Code of Conduct: DC

Yamunanagar : Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Captain Manoj Kumar said that the Election Commission has announced the Assembly General Elections-2024 in Haryana. With the announcement of the election, the Model Code of Conduct came into force in the district. In such a situation, an appeal is made to the representatives of all political parties to follow the Model Code of Conduct to conduct the elections in all the four assembly constituencies in the district in a peaceful and fair manner. No person should violate the Model Code of Conduct. Strict action will be taken as per rules against those who violate the code of conduct. Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner has also instructed the officers and employees not to be negligent at any level in their duty.

Regarding the schedule released by the Election Commission, District Election Officer Captain Manoj Kumar said that voting for all 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana will be held on October 1 and counting of votes will be done on October 4. He said that notification related to the election will be issued on Thursday, September 5 and nominations will be done till September 12. He said that scrutiny and sorting of nomination papers will be done on September 13, while candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations on Monday, September 16. After this, voting will be held on Tuesday, October 1 and results will be declared along with counting of votes on October 4
