Three  arrested within 60 hours in blind double blind murder case by Ambala police solved mystery

Ambala: Talking to media persons here Srishti Gupta ASP Ambala disclosed a double murder mystery within 60 hours travelling about 3200 km distance. The prime accused in the case a gym Gym Trainer owning his gym in Ambala City Devesh alias Devansh a resident of Shalimar colony Ambala City alongwith two hired friends Manni alias Sahil a resident of Kaith Majri Ambala City and Sunil Kumar originally hailing from Bharatpur district in Rajasthan, presently residing in Jasmeet Nagar in Baldev Nagar area Ambala City, the three were alleged involved in double murder of Sanjay Joshi a financier of Ambala having his office on the Raliway Road and his wife Parul working as an IT Engineer.

ASP Srishti said the case of blind double murder case committed on August 28th and 29th night was handed over to  CIA-1 Staff of Ambala police led by Inspector Harjinder Singh and Sub Inspector Balkar Singh arrested the accused within five days when the body of Sanjay in a pool of blood was recovered inside the drawing room after the killers had hit at the head cut his throat with a knife, whereas body of Parul was found in her bedroom having injuries on his head as well as the cause of death found due to strangling by the electric wire.

Sanjay and Parul

A complaint was made by Krishan Kumar an uncle of deceased Parul on 29th August morning when mobiles of both Parul’s as well as Sanjay were found switched off. The complainant along with his nephew when arrived at Sanjay’s residence found the main gate of the house was locked from outside and victims’ vehicles including a car and motorcycle were parked inside. Krishan Kumar entered the house and found both Sanjay and Parul dead, but Parul’s purse containing money and jewellery lying on a table were not stolen by the killers. However, mobile phones of both Sanjay and Parul were missing and CCTV cameras installed in and outside the house were removed by the unidentified accused.

ASP Srishti along with police investigation team reached at the spot and started investigations with the help of police cyber cell Ambala City and the murder mystery was solved within 60 hours with the help of cyber cell. Police arrested Sunil Kumar when he was about to leave the country via the Nepal border. Three arrested admitted crime during preliminary investigation and  produced in the court on 3rd September and remanded to police custody for four days. During police remand Devesh disclosed that his cousin brother  Vikas had secured loan from the financier Devesh who demanded excess amount towards interest as a result Vikas unable to pay much excess loan amount had commited suicide and he had decided to take revenge.

During police remand, Devesh said he alongwith his two associates had visited Sanjay Joshi’s house a couple of times posing as to take on rent the upper floor of his building lying vacant in order to study the infrastructure of the house inside. He said, after committing murders, the three had left the house, he arrived again late at night to remove CCTV cameras installed in and outside the building and also lifted four mobile phones belonging to both victims, and also locked the main gate from outside. ASP said, police have started searching for the recovery of all mobile phones, missing CCTV cameras, hammer used for hitting at victims head and knife used in crime.
