Exhibition of  Abhay K’s paintings at Bihar Museum

Bihar Museum, Patna is going to host an exhibition of paintings by poet, artist and diplomat Abhay K. based on the Buddhist philosophy of Shunyata from 1st to 10th October 2024, which will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Vijay Kumar Sinha on 1st October. Exhibitions of Abhay K. paintings have been held in Europe, South America, Africa and Asia continent, countries prominent among which are Russia, Brazil and Madagascar.

Speaking about his exhibition at Bihar Museum, Abhay K. said, “It is a matter of great pride for me to get the opportunity to exhibit my paintings at Bihar Museum. I am very excited to exhibit my paintings in my home state Bihar, where the philosophy of Shunyata was born.”

Abhay K. is a poet, editor, translator, artist and diplomat. He is the author of several poetry collections and the editor of 6 books including The Book of Bihari Literature. His poems have been published in more than 100 literary magazines around the world and his creation ‘Earth Anthem’ has been translated into more than 160 languages. He was invited to record his poems at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC in 2018. His translation of the Magahi novel Phool Bahadur has been published by Penguin Random House, India. He has received the SAARC Literary Award in 2013 and the KLF Poetry Book of the Year Award in 2020-21 for his translation of Meghadootam and Ritusanhar written in Sanskrit.
