AAP activist who was elected unopposed village Sarpanch shot dead

Amritsar, October 7 – in a gruesome incident AAP activist identified as Rajivnder Singh who was elected unopposed Sarpanch (village headman) was  shot dead in broad daylight.

Confirming the murder of Rajvinder Singh, police said that he was elected village Sarpnach of Tawandi Mour was shot dead from point blank range by three unidentified motorcycle borne accused today at village Takkarpur falling in the Tarn Taran district.  

Police said that the incident occurred when Rajvinder Singh was heading to his village when the car was intercepted by the accused who fired gunshots from point blank range. After committing the crime, the accused escaped away.

Police said that when he was attacked as guns shots were pumped into Rajwinder Singh was immediately shifted to nearby hospital with profuse bleeding where he succumbed to bullet injuries.
