Haryana Police arrests 11 accused involved in cyber fraud worth Rs 33.50 crore

Gurugram:  Manesar cyber police in Gurugram arrested 11 accused allegedly committed cyber frauds for amount worth Rs 33.50 crores across the country in which the fraud victims had lodged nearly 9226 complaints in various police stations across the country as per date collected from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre in which 388 cases were registered by the police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Cyber Crime Priyanshu Diwan said Gurugram police succeeded in arresting 11 cyber fraudsters identified as Rajendra Parihar, Dharmendra Parihar, Eric Khes, Deepak and Amarendra alias Ami, Arpit Singh resident of Tughlakabad Delhi, Lokesh resident of Vikrampur District Sitamarhi (Bihar), Kailash Devi and Sanjay, Ashutosh and Ashok from whom nine mobile phones were recovered.

During the investigation, it was revealed that 9226 complaints and 388 cases of fraud of amount Rs 33 crore 50 lakh are registered against the accused across the country, which included 19 cases registered by police in Haryana, out of which 3 cases are registered in Police Station Cyber Crime East Gurugram, 2 cases in Police Station Cyber Crime Manesar and 2 cases in Police Station Cyber Crime South. Investigation by the police revealed that the accused used to commit fraud through task-based fraud, online ticket booking and internet banking fraud. The police team recovered Rs 14 lakh 47 thousand alongwith 9 mobile phones from the possession of the accused.
