Amritsar, November 18 – Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi amidst tight security paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) here today.
Gandhi on reaching Sri Harmandir Sahib, paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum, besides performing SEWA at CHABEEL (served drinking water to the visiting devotees) in the marbled periphery of the Golden Temple complex.
He was seen serving water in the steel bawls to the vesting devotees inside the Golden Temple complex. Many visitors were seen taking mobile selfies with Rahul Gandhi.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi, before arriving at Sri Harmandir Sahib, he reached Amritsar by air in a special chartered plan. At Shri Guru Ramdas international Airport, he was received by the local congress leaders including sitting MP Gurjit Singh Aujla and former Punjab Deputy CM Om Parkash Soni.
