Chandigarh: Addressing a press conference at his Chandigarh residence, former Haryana Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda strongly condemned ruling BJP government in the state for making false claims and misleading the people during recent Haryana Vidhan Sabha session that there is no shortage of fertilizers and easy availability of the same to farmers in the state, whereas the situation for supply of the same is adverse and it is first time in the history of Haryana state the fertilizers are being supplied to the farmers under police security.
Reminding poll promises, former chief minister said that BJP government had promised prior to the assembly polls to supply paddy crop at the minimum support price (MSP) Rs 3100 per quintal, whereas the farmers are now compelled to sell their crop at Rs 200 to 400 lesser price than the assured MSP. Hooda said that the BJP government has failed to fulfill their poll manifesto promises to pay Rs 2100 monthly to every woman and came to power due to EVM cheatings. Hooda said the BJP government has also failed to implement satisfactory policies as regards transparency in reservations, merits in employment sector under Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. He said, BJP had assured to provide two lakh jobs to youths in the state, on which action was yet awaited.
Expressing deep concern Hooda said nearly 70% population in Haryana state have reached below the poverty line at present. ” It is an unsuccessful report card of the ruling government in the state that Haryana is burdened under debt for amount worth Rs 4.5 lakh crore and every newborn child in Haryana state at the time of birth is burdened under debt for amount worth Rs 2,28,530 each.
