Sirsa: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Baba Sarasainath Medical College in Sirsa on Thursday. This college will have 100 seats and will be ready in two years. Saini said, along with this college, a modern cancer center will also be built on five and a half acres of land. He said, nursing and physiotherapy and paramedical colleges will also be established in the new medical college. Making a new announcement on this occasion, the CM said that along with this medical college, a modern cancer center will also be built on five and a half acres of land. He said that Haryana has taken the initiative to make the country a medical hub and to realize the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India and the government has taken the initiative to establish a medical college in every district.
According to health department data, so far nine new medical colleges have been opened in the state, whereas before 2014, there were only six medical colleges in the state. Now the number of medical colleges in the state has increased to 15. This is the vision of the double engine government. We will provide good health services in every district. “I am proud that the third phase of government has been formed in Haryana which will work with the PM to develop the state rapidly. MBBS and PG seats will also increase,” Saini said that after the medical college is built, there will be 2185 seats, moreover PG seats have been increased from 289 to 861 so that good doctors can be produced in the state. In the next few years, MBBS seats will increase to 3485. The CM said that this college will have 100 seats and will be ready in two years. The entire project of this medical college, which will be built on 22 acres and five kanals, will cost approximately Rs 1010 crore 37 lakh. This college will be ready in two years.
Saini further added that the construction work of medical colleges in other districts is complete, the construction work of Medical College Bhiwani is almost complete. Medical colleges are under construction in Kaithal, Gurugram and Yamunanagar also. The construction work of the buildings of medical colleges in Haibatpur of Jind district and Koriyavas of Mahendragarh district is almost complete. Saini said, “Apart from these, the process of opening 5 more new medical colleges is underway. Not only this, nursing, physiotherapy and paramedical colleges will also be established in every medical college. Similarly, the government has taken over the closed Gold Field Medical College in Chhainsa Faridabad and started it in the name of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Apart from this, Sri Krishna Ayush University has been opened in Kurukshetra. National Ayurveda Yoga and Naturopathy Institute is being established in Panchkula. The Chief Minister said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Health Science University is being constructed in Kutail, Karnal.”
