Farmers should heed the Supreme Court’s advice

Congress leaders roaming around with the ‘Red Book’ of the Constitution must know that the red color is the blood of the Constitution that was wounded during the Emergency. The soul of the Constitution was tampered with. The words ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ were not part of the original Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Blaming others for their failures is part of Congress’s political culture. A comparative study reveals the extent of inflation.

Ambala/Chandigarh/New Delhi, December 14: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij commented on the ongoing farmer protests, stating that, “The farmers and the Honorable Supreme Court are in talks. The Honorable Supreme Court has suggested that the farmers temporarily suspend their agitation. In my opinion, the farmers should heed the Supreme Court’s advice.” Commenting sharply on a statement by Priyanka Gandhi, Anil Vij said that “Congress leaders walking around with the Constitution’s ‘Red Book’ should remember that its red color symbolizes the blood spilled when the Constitution was wounded during the Emergency.”

Vij made these remarks in response to a media question regarding farmers announcing yet another march toward Delhi after two failed attempts, and the hunger strike undertaken by farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at the Khanauri border.

Reacting strongly to Priyanka Gandhi’s comment that “Prime Minister Modi does not understand the Constitution as it is not the RSS rulebook,” Vij remarked that “Congress leaders showcasing the Constitution’s red book must understand its red hue comes from the blood spilled when the Constitution was deviated during the Emergency. The soul of the Constitution was tampered with. The words ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ were not originally part of the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. If he wanted, Dr. Ambedkar could have included these terms, but he didn’t. However, then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi altered the essence of the Constitution, leaving it wounded and stained with blood.”

When asked about Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement that “the atmosphere in Parliament is such that even the TV channels and those broadcasting it are biased,” Vij responded, “Television only broadcasts what is visible. Blaming others for their failures is part of Congress’s political culture, he added.”

Reacting to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s comment that, “When petrol was ₹60 per liter and LPG cylinders were ₹400, BJP leaders called inflation a witch. But now with petrol at ₹100 per liter and cylinders at ₹1,200, they find inflation romantic,” Vij said, “In an emerging economy, the prices of all commodities rise. One cannot assess inflation by looking at a single item. A comparative study is needed to understand the extent of inflation.”

When asked about Uddhav Thackeray’s statement that if Prime Minister Modi could halt the Russia-Ukraine conflict to rescue Indian students, he should also intervene to stop atrocities against Bangladeshi Hindus, Vij replied, “At least Uddhav Thackeray has started caring about the pain of Hindus. PM Modi does whatever is possible, and in this case too, he will do what can be done.”
