Two drug smugglers arrested by HNCB with 3.377 kg of ‘Hashish’ in Sonipat

Another woman drug supplier arrested in Kharkhoda

Sonepat: Team of Haryana Narcotics Control Bureau (HNCB) Rohtak unit on a secret information that drug smuggling was going on in an area. Based on the information that smuggled drugs will be delivered near a brick kiln located in village Khanpur Kalan, the police team laid a trap near the kiln and caught the accused and during the search recovered from them 3.377 kg of hashish of value more than Rs 76 lakh and achieved a major success. ACP Rajpal Singh said the team has arrested two smugglers who have been identified as Naresh alias Guddi a resident of village Khanpur Kalan and Anil, originally a resident of village Bawanikheda in Bhiwani but currently living in Najafgarh, Delhi.

Meanwhile, in another case, a team of the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau nabbed a woman drug supplier from Matindu Chowk at Kharkhoda in Sonepat district and recovered 18.43 gm of heroin from her possession. The accused was identified as Mamta, a resident of Thana Khurd village who used to supply drugs in the area in retail for a along time. Sub Inspector Jaibeer Singh, incharg Rohtak unit of the bureau, said that a team led by ASI Rohtas was on routine patrolling duty near Matindu Chowk in Kharkhoda, when received a tip-off that Mamta was involved in drug peddling and was going to sell heroin on the Barona road in Kharkhoda. Following the tip-off, the police team nabbed her. She was searched in the presence of a gazetted officer and 18.43-gm heroin was recovered from her possession.
