Using Maharashtra’s success as an example, Dr. Shah shared how Samast Mahajan has been operating 11 ambulances in Mumbai for over 28 months. These ambulances, equipped with modern facilities and staffed with veterinarians, have treated over 74,000 animals within a 110-kilometer radius. He explained that each ambulance costs ₹25 lakhs to equip and ₹30 lakhs per year to operate.

Dr. Shah announced that New Delhi would now be included in this mission. Alongside the two ambulances donated by Samast Mahajan, two donors pledged support for medicines and other operational needs. Dr. Shah emphasized the importance of a transparent system to gain public trust and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Establishing an International Office and Expanding the Mission

Dr. Shah also announced the establishment of an international office for Samast Mahajan in New Delhi. This initiative aims to replicate the success of Mumbai’s rescue operations across the country, creating an “Animal Cruelty-Free Bharat.”
