Kumari Selja said, the Central Government has made GST even more Complicated. BJP’s Goal is to Distract the Public from Real Issues. The All of BJP’s Promises Appear to be Null on the Ground.

Chandigarh : The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, and MP from Sirsa, Kumari Selja, said that the BJP-led central government is harming the federal structure of the country. She said that there is no mention of the census or caste-based census. The government is not fulfilling even a single promise made to the people. The MSP (Minimum Support Price) has not been given legal status, despite farmers continuing their agitation for this demand. Instead of simplifying GST, the government has made it more complicated. Whenever the opposition raises any issue, the government focuses on diverting attention from it. Speaking to journalists after visiting Sirsa, Fatehabad, Ratia, Tohana, Narwana, and Khanauri, MP Kumari Selja said that the government is not paying any attention to the problems of farmers and labourers in the country, nor are these groups receiving the fruits of their hard work. During the paddy transplantation season, farmers could not get fertilizers or seeds. Private agencies exploited them, while the government claimed there was no shortage of fertilizers and seeds. The government has forgotten the long queues of farmers waiting for fertilizers and the fact that they would even camp out overnight to get them. The truth is that the government doesn’t listen to anyone, let alone farmers.

In response to a question, Selja said that visiting the Khanauri border to meet farmers and speaking with farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewala, who had difficulty speaking. Kumari Selja said that the government is doing nothing at the Khanauri protest site. She made it clear that the government must resolve every problem. On the Ambedkar controversy, she said the nation is witnessing BJP disrespecting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, with its leaders neither resigning nor apologizing. The government has a habit of diverting attention from issues by introducing some bill whenever a matter arises. The BJP does not value Parliament and does not intend to let it function. The opposition and media are the ones raising people’s voices and warning the government, but the government is suppressing the opposition’s voice. Kumari Selja said that for the first time, members of the ruling party were stopping opposition leaders from entering Parliament, even using sticks. The ruling party members manhandled Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and other leaders, and then falsely accused Rahul Gandhi.

Answering another question, she said that this same BJP had promised to implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission in its manifesto, but that has not happened. Similarly, the government had promised to give MSP legal status, but it has not fulfilled this promise. She accused the government of making false promises. Regarding the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, Kumari Selja said that every party in the INDIA alliance has condemned it and emphasized that minorities in Bangladesh should be protected. She urged the Indian government to discuss this issue with Bangladesh.
