The five-day Mumbai International Hindi Literature Festival organized by Vishwa Hindi Academy; Mumbai started on the day of World Hindi Day 10 January 2025 in the auditorium of ISKCON West Juhu Mumbai & concluded on 14th January.
In this program, discussions on the state and direction of the Hindi language, Kavi sammelan, drama, dance, song, etc., were presented. Along with this, personalities who made significant contributions to the promotion of Hindi language were awarded.
Senior columnist, lyricist, storyteller, and banker Satish Singh was awarded the Vishwa Hindi Academy Samman for the year 2025 for the promotion of financial literacy and Hindi language through articles based on banking, finance, and cyber frauds. This award was given to Shri Singh by renowned satirist Shri Prem Janamejay.
Along with this, Shri Keshav Rai, President of Vishwa Hindi Academy, Mumbai, famous playback singer Ms. Usha Timothy, playback singer Shri Chintan Bakiwala, RJ Shri Anurag Pandey and Shayar Shri Dev Muni Pandey were present on the stage.
Satish Singh’s career has been diverse and impressive. Mr. Singh, who hails from Patna, Bihar, is currently working as Assistant General Manager and Head of the Learning & Development Department at the Local Head Office of the State Bank of India, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Academically, Shri Singh holds a postgraduate degree in Hindi Literature & Mass Communication and an MBA in Finance as well as a Diploma in Hindi Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
As a writer, Mr. Singh has been writing extensively on banking, economics, and contemporary issues over the last 16 years and has been instrumental in promoting financial literacy & Hindi Language.
Shri Singh has written over 2,500 articles, over 500 poems, and 60 stories. Shri Singh has published a total of three books and in December 2021, his music album titled “Piya O Re Piya” was released on over 100 OTT platforms.
Shri Singh has received more than a dozen awards for his remarkable contribution to the field of financial literacy and the continuous advancement of the Hindi language. In the year 2024 also, Shri Singh received the Rashtriya Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Patrakarita Shikhar Samman.
