SIC Begins Investigation into false Claims of Industrial Incidents in Nuh & Gurugram: Anil Vij

Vij said that Retired Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. Abdul Majid to investigate claims settled from 2021 to 2024, since complaints were consistently received about fraudulent incidents being staged to file false claims and obtain compensation from insurance companies.

Chandigarh:  Haryana’s Labor Minister Anil Vij said that the Special Investigation Committee (SIC) has begun its work of investigating claims decided under the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, by commissioners in Nuh and Gurugram-IV for the years 2021 to 2024. Providing further details, Minister Anil Vij stated that the committee, led by retired Additional District and Sessions Judge Dr. Abdul Majeed, will scrutinize all claims decided by Commissioner (s) during the specified period under the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, in Nuh and Gurugram-IV.

He added that complaints were being regularly received about fraudulent incidents being fabricated in industrial companies to submit false claims and obtain compensation from insurance companies. In light of these complaints, the Special Investigation Committee has been constituted to investigate the claims and address these issues. The committee has already commenced its work.
