Delhi CM Rekha Gupta celebrates Holi, pledges prosperity and progress for capital

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support from the public, stating that leading the capital fills her with pride. She pledged to work towards making Delhi a progressive and prosperous city under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to a news agency, Gupta highlighted her vision for the city’s development. “We are receiving immense love from the people, but today, as Chief Minister, I feel especially proud. My responsibility is to paint the picture of Delhi with the colours of happiness and prosperity and make it a model of progress,” she said.

The Chief Minister was seen celebrating Holi with locals in Pitampura and Shalimar Bagh, joyfully engaging in the festivities by smearing colours, embracing residents, and using water guns. Earlier in the day, she extended her best wishes to the people of Delhi and the nation, hoping that the festival would bring joy, love, and harmony into everyone’s lives. She also urged citizens to celebrate Holi in an environmentally friendly and respectful manner.

Gupta later attended the ‘Holi Mangal Milan’ event at the BJP office, where Delhi BJP president Virendraa Sachdeva also marked the occasion. Sachdeva celebrated Holi with party workers, applying gulal and sharing the festive spirit. He remarked that this year’s Holi felt especially significant with the BJP government now in power in Delhi.

The festival of Holi is being celebrated across the country, with people gathering in temples, streets, and homes to rejoice in the spirit of colours, music, and traditional festivities. The occasion, symbolising the triumph of good over evil, has once again brought people together in a vibrant display of joy and unity.
