25 new Sanskriti model schools to be opened in Haryana

Chandigarh: Film city to be built in Haryana to be constructed on 100 acres in Pinjore; CM Saini announced while addressing as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the two-day film festival organized at Maharishi Dayanand University on Saturday under the joint aegis of Cine Foundation, Haryana (Vishwa Samvad Kendra) and Maharishi Dayanand University.   He said to promote the film industry, the Haryana government has decided to build a film city on 100 acres in Pinjore of Panchkula district in the first phase, the land for this has already been determined and the process of appointing a consultant for this project is underway. The construction work of the film city will start soon, he added. Saini said that the government has decided to build a film city in two phases to promote the film industry and encourage artists. In the first phase, a film city is being built on 100 acres in Pinjore. 

Saini said, in the second phase, a film city will be built in Gurugram. The process of selecting land for this project is also underway. This will not only benefit the artists associated with the cinema world but will also create new employment opportunities in the state. On this occasion, the Chief Minister honoured the best filmmakers by giving them awards and announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh to the Vishwa Samvad Kendra. Naib Singh Saini, while giving assurance on the demands of the artists associated with the film industry, said that efforts will be made to start this by talking to Prasar Bharati regarding showing a Haryanvi film once a week on Doordarshan.

CM Saini announced,  25 new Sanskriti Model Schools equipped with high tech facilities will be opened in Haryana which will provide education from 6th to 12thclass, These schools will be opened at a distance of every 10 kilometers and will provide education in English medium. These schools will have high-tech facilities. On the other hand, in Haryana, new students will be able to get admission in Government Model Sanskriti Secondary School and Government Model Sanskriti Vidyalaya only when seats are vacant in various classes.
While talking to media persons, Chief Minister Saini said there is a proposal for 25 new model schools to be opened in Haryana for which the government has given approval for this. He said, these schools will be opened at a distance of every 10 kilometers. Earlier, on March 17, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had also announced this while presenting the budget. He said, these schools will be for classes 6th to 12th having the education in these schools in English medium to enable the students studying in these schools t not lag behind the children of convent schools.

Chief Minister said, constituencies of Haryana where approval has been given for opening of Sanskriti Model Schools include Pinjore in Panchkula district, Bilaspur in Yamunanagar district, Pehowa in Kurukshetra district, Guhla Cheeka, Kalayat, Siwan in Kaithal district, Gharaunda in Karnal district, Sonipat, Safidon, Uchana, Narwana in Jind district, Bhattu Kalan, Ratia in Fatehabad district, Dabwali, Sirsa, Hisar in Sirsa district, Loharu and Siwani in Bhiwani district, Bahadurgarh, Matanhail in Jhajjar district, Mahendragarh and one Sanskriti Model Senior Secondary School each in Firozpur Jhirka in Nuh district.
Saini said apart from this, in Haryana, new students will be admitted in Government Model Sanskriti Secondary School and Government Model Sanskriti Vidyalayas only if seats are vacant in various classes, and old students of these schools will be given priority in admissions in class XI as well. CM said Instructions have been issued by the Directorate of School Education regarding admission in Model Sanskriti Schools. Applications for admission can be made till April 11 and admissions will start after the draw on April 16, after this if seats are vacant, the students included in the waiting list will be admitted on April 22. For admissions, the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School Management Committee will be called for a meeting and seats will be determined as per the available rooms and infrastructure facilities.
