Worried over worsening law and order, employment in state turning youths towards drugs
Yamunagar: Blaming triple engine BJP government in Haryana merely involved in slow developmental works in the state, only making false propaganda doing developments in the state, Congress national general secretary Kumari Selja MP while addressing media here at the residence of former Congress district president Rakesh Kaka on Saturday said that the situation in Haryana is turning from bad to worse, law and order has completely collapsed, due to fast increasing unemployment youth have become directionless and are moving towards drugs since the government has failed to provide them employment. Kumari Selja said that the Prime Minister coming on a tour of Haryana should announce a special package for Haryana during his visit enabling youths of Haryana to get jobs.
While talking to journalists said that not a single power plant was set up in the past over 10 years of BJP government in Haryana, now the Prime Minister is coming to lay the foundation stone of an 800 MW unit and people hope that the area will benefit. She expressed concern over no solution has been found yet regarding the ash flying from the existing thermal power plant. She said, Yamunanagar is an industrial town have large number of industry manufacturing plywood in Yamunanagar and meral at Jagadhari, but the industry in metal and plywood business here facing severe sickness due to the negligence of the government, and of these industrial units have either been closed or are on the verge of closure. The Prime Minister should announce a package for them to save once flourishing industrial units.
Calling the BJP leaders’ claim of triple engine government hollow, she said that this is a government of slow news, no work is done but only doing false propaganda. The situation in Haryana is going from bad to worse, law and order has collapsed, unemployed youth are directionless and are turning to drugs. She said, the ruling BJP government had promised to provide employment to the unemployed but no action has been taken in this regard till now except the government making empty promises in the Centre and Haryana, which have not been fulfilled. In reply to a media question regarding declaring Haryana leader of opposition and the organization of Congress, she said that it is the responsibility of the party high command to look into it.
Kumari Selja said, “The government wants to divert attention from the country’s problems’. One Nation One Election and Wakf Board are mere slogans, in reality the central government wants to divert attention from the problems of the country. Government schools in Haryana should be strengthened. The arbitrariness of private schools should end, because the children of the poor are forced to study in government schools only. Selja said that discrimination and arbitrariness continues in the skill employment rules. Here the unemployed are made fun of. She said that smart meters are a scam, electricity rates have been increased and now BJP leaders say that rates increased 11 times during the Congress regime.
