Amritsar, June 1 -Two unidentified bike borne assailants shot dead one and left four injured before they escaped away from the spot at village Lakhuwal falling in the bordering town of Ajnala Assembly constituency.
Confirming the incident SHO police station Ajnala Mr. Balbir Singh who was present on the spot for investigation today said that incident occurred last night when group of people sitting outside the house when all off sudden two bike borne youth appeared on the scene and did indiscriminate firing on the gathering. During firing one person died who was identified as Deepinder Singh alias Deepu who had recently joined the AAP in the Ajnala constituency. Four others were also injured.
SHO said that investigation was being done on war footing level to indentify the accused who escaped away from the spot after committing the crime.
It may be added here Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal is MLA from Ajnala assembly constituency and also contesting Parliament Elections from the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat.
