Accepting bribe their birth right in government offices: Bajrang Garg

Addressing a large gathering in a state level meeting of business community at Safidon in Jind district, Senior General Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Vyapar Mandal and President of Haryana Vyapar Mandal  Bajrang Das Garg expressed deep concern over increasing cases of robberies and ransom demand from people in trade and industry since past some time in Haryana state demanding stern police action against anti-social elements. While addressing Garg warned, excesses on people in trade and industry will not be tolerated at any cost.

Garg said, corruption in government offices in the state is at peak since officers as well as staff in government offices consider accepting bribe as their birth right as such ruling government in the state should take stern action against government officers involved in corrupt practices He said, as a result of erratic government policies trade and industry in the state fast collapsing or turning sick and instead of injecting support in the arms of peple in trade and industry government has increased GST on few essential products which is already highest in India as compared to other countries.

Expressing deep concern, Garg said government of our country increasing GST on some of very essential products including cloth, readymade garments and foot wears with effect from January 1, 2022 from 5% at present to 12% putting additional financial burden over nearly 1.35 crore population in the country, whereas people  in trade and industry in the country are continuously suffering losses and slump in business due to epidemic outbreak since past about two years. Garg said, it is rather painful when government has been charging full electricity and water tariff  from trade and industry in-spite of the fact it remained sick or closed most of the time due to COVID-19, which is shameful action on the part of government. Presidents and office bearers of all district level Haryana Vyapar Mandal in the state were also present at the occasion.
