Haryana state government is going to take action and lodge FIRs against nearly 3000 unrecognized schools in Haryana state allegedly functioning without having recognition from state education department. The organizers as well as owners of such schools in-spite of directions by the government to get approved their schools, most of these located in thickly populated residential areas without following norms prescribed by the government has now decided to take legal action against such 1338 schools in the state functioning without having extension so far as such nearly 60000 students studying in these schools will not be able to appear in Class X and Class XII examinations.
While addressing media persons Kulbhushan Sharma National President of Independent School Alliance (NISA) as well as state President of Federation of Private Schools Welfare Association Haryana has demanded that old schools running in the state since decades should be given relaxation in rules and provide them temporary extension as well approval to run the school. He said, as a result of wrong government policies nearly 500 private schools in the state will be closed down adversely affecting the future of nearly five lakh students having education in these schools.
Kulbhushan Sharma said that in as many as 13% government schools in Haryana state there is no provision for electricity, no provision for internet in 20% government schools and only nearly 41.3% government schools in the state are having provision computers to provide computer education, whereas on the other hand hundred percent private schools in the state are having facilities like electricity, internet and computer education and still the organizers of these private schools are compelled to run from one table to another being harassed in government offices to get recognition of their schools. NISA National President said, according to RTI information nearly 200 government schools which include 102 Senior Secondary Schools, 80 High Schools and 8 Middle Schools in the state have been identified having shortage of rooms to conduct independent classes and students of different classes are compelled to sit in a single room to have education.
