Action demanded against torture, exploitation & sexual abuse of minors at ‘Gurukul’

Matter related to alleged torture, exploitation and sexual abuse of minors in famous ‘Gurukul’ at Jhajjer in Haryana state has reached to Governor, Haryana state at Chandigarh in which several social welfare organizations in the area has demanded stern action and registration of criminal cases  against accused responsible for the same and also to those trying to shelter them. According to complainants,  minors in this ‘Gurukul’ are forcibly involved not only in child labour but also sexually abuse and the worst part is that alleged accused are being saved by a handful of influential persons thus severely harming the reputation of this ‘Gurukul’ against whom cases should be registered and a administrator should be appointed by the government with immediate effect to avoid harassment to inmates in ‘Gurukul’ also demanded a thorough investigation in this serious matter by a retired High Court judge.

Chairman and President of Sunghursh Samiti Mange RamTundwal, Dr Ambedkar and President Students Association Vikram Singh Damodia demanded immediate action against such type of antisocial elements to push them behind bars. They further alleged, a class IX students from a backward class family was mercilessly beaten and his both arms were badly injured, not only this abusive language against his caste was also used by Mahabir Shastri which is liable to registration of a criminal case against him as per law but the management of ‘Gurukul’ took no action against him, rather saved him for the reasons best known to them.

Information reveals, the management of this ‘Gurukul’ being influential persons misusing their power taking no action against excesses reported in’Gurukul’ quite often which need immediate government attention. A case was registered by the police against a senior teacher in the rank of Vice Principal  under section 377 IPC allegedly involved in sexual abuse of a minor student and the case is yet under trial in court.
