Ambala: Haryana Home and Health Minister. Anil Vij said that construction of airport in Ambala will boost tourism. Ambala Cantonment is ready with a wonderful Subhash Park, where people from other cities are coming to see its beauty. While an international level Shaheed Smarak will also be built soon, the civil work of Smarak has been 85 percent completed.
Vij was answering the question asked by the media persons after the bhoomi pujan and foundation stone laying ceremony of the airport in Ambala today. He said that the interior work of the Shaheed Smarak is also going to be tendered and it will be completed soon. Science Centre, Bank Square cum Mall and other projects in Ambala which will increase tourism here in the future- Vij shared.
Home Minister Anil Vij said that the construction of the airport will be a symbol of progress for the entire region. Wherever an airport comes, the status of that area increases. Ambala Cantonment is a junction which connects to Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Western UP, Uttarakhand and other states. He said that today industrialists want cheap land, compared to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram, land is cheap in Ambala and industrialists want to come in the morning and go back in the evening. After getting air connectivity will boost industry and trade in the region.
Home Minister Anil Vij said that the Civil Enclave is being built at a cost of Rs 16 crores and the work has been allotted. Passengers will be taken inside from Civil Enclave through taxiway and the old Air Force runway will be used for take-off and landing for flight. Now it will take four to five months to construct the enclave and flights will start soon.
On the question of getting air connectivity across the country under the UDAN scheme, Home Minister Anil Vij said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a visionary person, earlier the previous governments did not go out of Delhi and were limited to Delhi only. But now the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is connecting everything with the common man. His schemes like Har Ghar Jal, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana and other schemes are all aimed to reaching the common man. Under this, he started the Udaan scheme in which even a person wearing slippers can fly in the Airbus.
