Ambala : A team of Sadar police station Ambala Cantt on a secret information that a youth carrying 1 kg heroine of international value worth Rs 5 crore moving on Ambala – Jagadhari Road and immediately  held a polic bsrrier opposite the grave yard to check all suspected vehicles on July 25 and 26 night, when stopped a I 20 car bearing registration number HR-85B 3044 and during thorough checking recovered 1 kg heroine in a bag and arrested the youth driving the vehicle who identified as Dishant Kumar alias DK a resident of ‘Jali Mill’ compound area near the place of police barrier. SP Ambala Jashandeep Singh told media persons that a case was registered against arrested accused under NDPS Act under sections 21/27A/29 of IPC against the arrested youth who was produced in the court on 26th July and remanded to police custody for six days. SP told that Ambala police has registered 112 cases under NDPS Act and arrested 149 drug smugglers so far during this year.
