Ambala : A woman made a complaint with Mahila police station Ambala against a BJP leader Anshul Agarwal  allegedly raped by him on the pretext of offering her a job, as such he hwas booked under various sections of the IPC 376 and 420 for rape and cheating. The woman in her complaint alleged that she was raped on the pretext of providing her a job in OLX which was advertised. Surinder Kaur in-charge Mahila police station told that police arrested alleged accuse on woman’s complaint and sent Anshul Agarwal to jail.  He had had also contested Vidhan Sabha polls in 2019 on behalf of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) but badly defeated was able to get only 868 votes. Agarwal later left AAP and joined BJP in the presence of Aseem Goel MLA Ambala City constituency.  

In her complaint, the victim woman alleged that she had come in the contact of the alleged ccuse when she approached him for job which was offered to her as billing clerk.  Surinder Kaur In-charge Mahila police station said the victim also alleged that she was raped by alleged accuse Anshul Agarwal number of times including in hotel and also became pregnant twice and was got terminated by alleged accuse who had assured her to marry but lingering on this matter. She told that Anshul had even applied ‘Sindoor- on her head assuring to marry. The doctor involved in termination of pregnancy of the complainant Vinod was also booked for illegal termination of the complainant woman.  However, when contacted BJP’s District president about this matter who refused that Anshul Agarwal was not linked with their party just was a follower..
