Anil Vij orders SIT investigation in Rs 133 crore fraud against Group Housing real estate developer

Ambala: Haryana Home & Health Minister Anil Vij in a complaint against a group housing  real estate developer company during ‘Janta Durbar’ on saturday directed Police Commissioner Gurugram to constitute a special investigation team (SIT) led by DSP to investigate fraufd worth Rs 133 crore against diectors of a real estate company Vatika Limited in which five persons including two directors have been bookied for alleged fraud. Owner of  Noida-based builder company Assotech alleged that in 2012, the Vatika builder had entered into an agreement with it to set up a group housing society over 10 acres land at Gurugram. The deal was struck for about Rs 144 crore, out of which the Noida company Assotech had paid Rs 133 crore but Vatika Limited did not follow the agreement. Assotechh had filed a case for the recovery of its dues in the Court  in Gurugram. An FIR has been registered against Gautam Bhalla and Anil Bhalla directors of Vatika at the Sector 10-A police station for fraud of value worth Rs 133 crore on the recommendation of the economic offences wing of the police.
In the case of cheating of Rs 133 crore, Noida-based builder company Assotech alleged that in 2012, the Vatika builder had entered into an agreement with ithemto set up a group housing society on the Noida firm’s over 10 acres in the Sector 88 area in Gurugram. The deal was struck for about Rs 144 crore, out of which the Noida company had given Rs 133 crore to the builder through RETG, but Vatika did not follow the agreement. As per the complaint, a petition was filed in a Noida court on behalf of M/s Assotech Limited of Noida. The court ordered the registration of an FIR, which was done on 6th September 2022 at the Sector 24 police station in Noida since the land was in Sector 88 in Gurugram, the file was sent to Gurugram police and investigation was assigned in October 2022.

In the complaint filed by Rajeev Srivastava, allegation of cheating was levelled against M/s Vatika Limited and the directors of firm Anil Bhalla, and Gautam Bhalla along with three others Brij Kishore Singh, Vijender Kumar and CFO Manish Agarwal were booked since in 2012 when an agreement was made, the directors of Vatika Limited confirmed the complainant company that they were the absolute owners of the land, measuring 10.043 acres, and also have full rights for developing a group housing society on it. An agreement was settled for Rs 144 crore on 22nd April 2013, after paying about Rs 30 crore, the agreement was signed on April 22, 2013 and started the work. In May 2013, the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) Limited stopped the construction activities of the complainant on the land and started the work for the installation of a high-tension transmission line of 400KV at this site and Assotech company was constrained to stop the work at the site.

 Noida based company Assotech brought this matter to the notice of the accused, who accepted their wrong doing and assured the complainant that they would get the matter solved when Assotech demanded balance money and a total of Rs 133 crore was paid to Vatika Limited by the complainant company, later, on a RTI information it came to the light that the land was already acquired by the government had also been notified in the gazette in 2008 itself, while the alleged accused never told about it to the complainant, rather started threatening him.
