Arms and drug smuggled from Pakistan seized

Amritsar, October 5 – Border Security Force (BSF) have seized four packets of heroin weighing 2.060 Kgs  alongwith a carton containing 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition which was smuggled to India from Pakistan.

In a statement issued here today, said that today, during early morning hours, forward deployed BSF troops heard suspected sound of something thrown over the border fencing near International Border in the area falling near village – Bharopal, under Amritsar district.

 Further, during a thorough search of the area, four packets of narcotics wrapped with yellow adhesive tape were recovered from the farming field on own side of border fencing. In one of these packets, a carton containing 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition was also recovered. 3. The gross weight of suspected narcotics substance is 2.060 Kgs.
