Arrested terrorists admitted received Rs 50 lakh for delivery of explosive, arms & drugs

KARNAL : Four ‘Khalistani’ terrorists Gurpreet, his brother Amardeep both residents of Amritsar district, Bhupinder resident of Ludhiana district and Parminder resident of Ferozpur district arrested by Karnal police on the information of Punjab police at Bastada Toll Plaza from whom police recovered explosive material, a pistol, 31 cartridges and currency noted for amount worth over Rs One lakh during search of Inova car in which they were travelling on May 5, 2022. A case was registered against them at Madhuban police station Karnal.  

Ganga Ram Poonia SP Karnal told that during 10 days police remand arrested youths disclosed several secrets and admitted that they were going to deliver explosive material, arms and cartridges at Adilpur in Telgana but they were unaware of consignee to whom the consignment was to be deliverd. They told that the consignment of arms, explosive material and cartridges was supplied by ISI in Pakistan through drone near Indo-Pak border near Ferozpur. They also admitted earlier supplied explosive material and drugs and collected amount worth over Rs 50 lakh in person as well as through Hawala. They also admitted that they were being paid amount worth Rs One lakh for delivery of a packet. After 10 days police remand, two terrorists were sent to judicial custody whereas police remand of another two both real brothers also mastermind in the racket has been extended further for a period of three days as a police party has taken them to Adilpur in Telgana to find out where the consignment of explosive material and arms was to be delivered. SP told that several investigation teams are yet working in this regard.

Information also reveals, police is searching bank accounts of family members and relatives of arrested Khalistani terrorists trying to find out the detail of amount transferred to their accounts. Information also reveals that arrested terrorists had earlier delivered consignment containing explosive in two IED, three grenade and three pistols at Nanded in month March this year which was collected from Chamkaur area. Footage of a CCTV camera revealed that the payment for delivery was made at Amritsar.

Meanwhile, on the basis of recovery of two automobile registration certificates from Inova car by police at Bastada Toll Plaza, it was found that both RCs were fake and got prepared by a youth  Nitin Sharma a resident of villahe Mehmood Pur in Ambala district presently staying in a rented house at Jammu. Police investigation revealed that Nitin was wanted by Yamunanagar police allegedly involved in a case of preparing nearly 700 fake automobile registration certificates, of them nearly 100 fake automobile Registration certificates were got prepared by Nitin Sharma. SP Karnal told media persons that Nitin Sharma has already been arrested and produced in the court at Karnal on Monday demanding his police remand.
