ASSOCHAM hails exemption announced on labour policy by Haryana government

Chandigarh (Satish Handa): Haryana state Development Council of ASSOCHAM hailed the exemptions announced on labour policy for employers and is glad that the government acknowledged to its many suggestions..

Expressing his gratitude to Haryana government Vijay Sharma, Chairman ASSOCHAM Haryana State Development council said, “We are thankful to the government for considering and extending our suggestions to the industries. This will help industry of Haryana to work more efficiently. Industry also appreciates the consultative & collaborative approach of Government and urges to continue discussions on ease of doing business in Haryana” He also emphasized that more robust and strong skill development eco-system should be developed for the state of Haryana, through proposed Skill training Gurukuls, Entrepreneurship development centres and through various roundtable meetings and projects.

Sharma said,the exemptions under Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020 by the Labour Department, Haryana are Vacancies in new Startups and new IT/ITES of new employers for a period of two year from the date of commencement of work or business or manufacturing process, Short term employment, the total duration of which is less than forty five days, Vacancies under any employer for domestic work or services in residential homes, Vacancies under any employer, who primarily engages in agriculture activities, Vacancies, which are being filled up through promotion or transfer or by absorption of surplus staff of any unit of the same employer in the State, Any class, post, skill and category of employment, as may be notified by the Government from time to time, where the Local Candidates of the desired skill, qualification of proficiency required in such employment are not available.
